  • First reaction & feeling towards this:

Overall Soft & Relax tone.

Progressively faster rhythm.

The music starts with the single clean sound of a piano, then gradually more instruments jumps in.

A chill tone at the beginning gradually transfers to a playful melody.

A deep relax & joy at the end feels like a deep and slow breath-out.

  • Picture & Story:

Based on my first reaction to this songs, the soft Jazz sound speaks to me as a relaxing theme. Along with melodious rhythm, I see this picture of a person laying back on his chair enjoying a cup of tea and just doing nothing. Therefore, in this music video, I want to recreate this picture and, most importantly, the feeling of a nice and relax sunny day afternoon.

Based on the music, along with the picture I describe above, I have this vision for a story of a person gets tired of work, and then takes a break at a sunny day afternoon, while listening to his favorite music and enjoying a cup of tea.

Imagine this:

It's a sunny day out. A women is working in her apartment. Her desk is near a big balcony. She gets tired of work.

She tear the paper apart, throw it into the a metal mesh trash can.

She put down her pan, adjusts her chair and lays back.

She gets up and turns on the kettle.

She adds a few drops of oil into the aroma diffuser.

She makes her bed and lay down on it to relax.

The water is ready. She makes her favorite white jasmine hot tea and walks to the balcony.

The sunshine is falling on her body.

She shuts down her phone, puts on the music and take a drink of her tea.

TONE

The key word here is RELAX and COMFORTABLENESS. It should make audiences feel satisfied watching this music video. Here is a video for reference to illustrate the overall tone I am trying to create.

The Look

In order to create the feeling of satisfaction I want, the image look should be clean. The main subject in the frame should pop out from the background, so the background should be as simple as possible. Taking this video on the right as a reference of the look.

The first 30 seconds of this video on the right demonstrate, as a reference, the actual framing, look and feeling I am trying to create.

Ex. Slow motion to show the detail.
